Do I Dare Believe

Today, I find myself torn between searching the television channels and the www for any little bit of information that would allow me to dispel any of the fears that try to creep into my lesser self(that part of me that would say that this is not possible). My fear that we (I) have not done enough to ensure that tomorrow will be a little brighter. My fear that the powers of hate and destruction are stronger then the will of love and peace.

I'm posting Barak's closing arguments here because it gives me chills when I watch it. I also think it is a wonderful summary of what has happened in this country over the past 22 months. It is a testament to true leadership, transformational leadership.

I'm also posting a series of photos that were taken by Carrie Shell, the Digital Journalist, as she followed him on the campaign trail. I think that she captured Barak as well as the energy of the campaign. The first photograph captures the magic as these two little boys stare fixed on him. If there is no one else in the room who recognizes that this is a special man, these two do.

So, today I'm walkin' in faith. And know that what is to be will be and it will all be good.
